In September, Dr. Argyle had the opportunity to go and receive more continuing education in Las Vegas at the Dentsply Sirona World 2017 meeting. This meeting focuses on the latest technological advances in dentistry. Like many of you already know, we at Argyle Dental Sleep & TMJ have a Cerec system that allows our patients to get their crown done in a single visit. This meeting discussed many of the advances and additional equipment available that facilitates the quality, convenience, and efficiency of modern-day dentistry.

Dr. Argyle also continued to gain more education on the field of dental sleep medicine. This allows us to fabricate an oral appliance for patients to wear at night who suffer from obstructive sleep apnea. This is especially helpful for patients that have mild to moderate cases of OSA as well as anyone who is not able to tolerate Positive Airway Pressure (PAP) therapy. Just in case you were worried that Dr. Argyle was working too hard out in Las Vegas, the event coordinators made sure none of the dental professionals were bored at this event. Besides having all of the top names in dentistry at their meeting, they also provided entertainment with comedian/ventriloquist Jeff Dunham, performing artist and actor Will Smith, renowned author and speaker Simon Sinek, topped off with a private concert with Imagine Dragons. I guess that is why they refer to their meeting as the “Ultimate Dental Meeting”!
